About the Author

Born and raised in Southern California, Ilene Bates lived most of her life in the San Diego area and began writing in high school. After college, she worked in several occupations and most recently was the CEO of a Girl Scout Council in Joplin, Missouri, where she currently resides. Ilene has written several short stories and poems and finally realized her dream of publishing her first novel, Moment In Time. She has traveled extensively, but has a special place in her heart for England. She is also an avid reader and enjoys all types of stories, especially historical novels.
